TOSHIBA INTRODUCES TWO SERIES HARD DISK SIZE 3.5 INCHES IN VOLUME 1.5 to 3 TB
After nearly six months since the date of purchase from Western Digital equipment for size 3.5-inch HDD, Toshiba has announced the availability of the appropriate hard drive form factor of 1.5 to 3 TB. Twelve drives arranged in two series, DT01ACA and DT01ABA, and each series comprising - two models of 1.5, 2 and TB 3.
HDD DT01ACA line interface supports SATA 6 Gb / s, equipped with 64 MB of cache and are characterized by a spindle speed of 7200 rev / min. Representatives of the line DT01ABA also connect the interface SATA 6 Gb / s, but the amount of buffer memory they have fewer - 32 MB. Representatives DT01ABA, the volume of which is 1.5 and 2 TB, characterized by the rotational speed of 5700 rev / min, and the rotational speed of 3 models of TB is higher - 5940 rev / min.
As the developers say, when you create a new tough, special attention was paid to reducing energy consumption and improve the acoustic comfort. Thus, the maximum level of noise and maximum power consumption models show a range of 3 TB DT01ACA - 28 dB and 6.4 W, respectively. The lowest power consumption (4.7 W) and noise (22 dB) are characterized by the model of 1.5 and 2 TB series DT01ABA.
Toshiba plans to start mass production of the new HDD in the current month, but the cost of storage is not reported.
