9-Mbit INTERNET NETWORKS WITH THIRD GENERATION MOBILE PHONE
A joint British-American company IPWireless standard based third generation mobile communication technology has developed UMTS wireless data transmission at a speed of 9 Mbit / s. For comparison, in cellular networks UMTS maximum incoming speed to date is limited to 384 kbit / s.
IPWireless technology uses a temporary separation of the spectrum (time-division duplex, TTD) and is intended for ranges of 1.9 and 2.5 GHz. As said in the company system designed for data transmission only, using ether is more efficient than general purpose systems with frequency division spectral (frequency-division duplex, FDD). They allow you to pass through one channel, both inbound and outbound traffic.
IPWireless has successfully tested its system in conjunction with several European mobile operators and is about to begin commercial deployment of technology in the next year. As a client device users need to purchase a special modem, whose release will major OEM-manufacturer Solcetron.
