NEW RECORD OF ANNUAL PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICITY
On 1 January 2013 electricity generation Surgut GRES-2 amounted to 39.967 billion kWh This is 2.9% more than the same period last year. Total since start-up station Surgut GRES-2 developed 820 billion kWh
The growth of power generation at the Surgut GRES-2 was due to be commissioned in July 2011, the two units working in the combined cycle, with a total capacity of 800 MW. Thus, the installed capacity of the Surgut GRES-2 increased from 4800 MW to 5597 MW.
Single-shaft combined cycle gas turbine technology performance (placement of the gas and steam turbines on the same shaft), on the basis of which the construction of new power units Surgut GRES-2 is the best for the Russian power industry. It also allowed to achieve compactness constructed generation facilities.
The efficiency of each of the two units PGU-400 Surgut GRES-2 - 56%, more than a third higher than the average efficiency of power units operated to date in Russia.
