MINISTRY OF ENERGY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION TO INSPECT OLYMPIC POWER FACILITIES IN SOCHI

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Department of Electricity Energy Ministry Vasily Nikonov, first deputy chairman of the Board of FGC UES `` Andrew Moores, deputy chairman Dmitry Gurevich, Director of `` Kubanenergo George Sultanov, Director of JSC FGC UES `` - Sochi Vladimir PMES Golubnichy.

The participants examined the power facilities of network companies: 110 kV substation Imereti, cable 110 kV line in the Olympic Park, 110 kV overhead line Adler - Kudepsta - Host, as well as lines for the power of the Sochi thermal power plant to the 110 kV substation Khost.

Michael KURBATOV accentuated focus on the efficient performance of construction schedules facilities designed to supply power to the 2014 Winter Olympics, as well as on the development of energy-deficient region of Sochi. At the meeting it was noted that the JSC FGC UES `` and `OAO IDGC Holding` to date together completed the work on 19 Olympic power facilities, paved more than 155 km of overhead power lines, have introduced more than 1,000 MVA of additional transformer capacity.

The meeting noted that between the companies involved in the power supply of the Olympic Games, established a strong relationship for operational and maintenance services of electrical installations, prevention and mitigation of accidents and emergencies, mutual assistance with the provision of qualified personnel, specialized equipment, materials, and equipment of the emergency reserve.
