FIRST INDUSTRIAL 18 BIT 800 KSPS SAR analog to digital converter, which guarantees lossless conversion data over the entire input range of

By strengthening its leading position in the market of high-quality converters, Analog Devices has added to its family PulSAR three new analog-to-digital converter, successive approximation (SAR). AD7674 (sampling rate of 800 KSPS), AD7678 (100 KSPS) and AD7679 (570 KSPS) - single-chip 18-bit analog-to-digital converters, successive approximation to ensure conversion without data loss over the entire operating temperature range. All three models have the following characteristics: + 2.5 LSB INL, 100 dB SNR (typ) and minus 110 dB THD (typical).

All models provide a conversion without data loss in the entire input range, the lack of pipeline delay and pin-compatible 16-bit ADC family PulSAR. The devices have a differential analog input, the input clock signal and the serial and parallel outputs. Additional features include: single supply + 5 V, the consumption of 7 mW in standby mode and 48-pin surface mount.

This family of analog-to-digital converters will be attractive to developers who are required to obtain high speed and high accuracy of the conversion pipeline without delay. The devices can be used in 18-bit CT scanners, medical equipment, as well as test and measurement equipment, high-speed data acquisition systems, spectrum analyzers, control systems, inspection, measurement and communication.
