VIA has introduced a new series of motherboards EPIA M PROCESSORS FOR VIA EDEN C3
Motherboard Series Epia M microprocessors are optimized for VIA Eden C3 and support DDR 266 memory up to 1 GB. Fees are based on the Apollo CLE266 chipset and equipped with ATA 133 controller, built-in decoder MPEG2, six-channel audio controller, TV-out S-Video and RCA (with support for PAL and NTSC), as well as USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394 (FireWire) and built-in network controller, 10/100 Ethernet. The boards have established a single slot PCI.
According to representatives of VIA, Epia M Series board fully supports the operating systems Windows and Linux, and allows you to work with digital audio and video. Overall dimensions of a new series of motherboards are only 17 x 17 cm, so that they can be used in all types of housing mini-ITX, FlexATX or micro-ATX.
The estimated retail price of the first of a new series of motherboards - Epia M9000 and ME6000 - make less than $ 200. Deliveries of these boards have already begun.
