The German steel company ThyssenKrupp intends to help out at least? 7 billion from the sale of the two plants in the United States and Brazil, said Aug. 26 in an interview with Welt am Sonntag CEO Henry Gizinger.


He noted that several potential buyers have expressed interest in buying the assets of ThyssenKrupp and the company is currently waiting to be put forward by them #39;good deals#39;. It is expected that each enterprise will be `a` buyer.

ThyssenKrupp announced in May it was studying the possibility of selling the two recently launched plants or attract partners to improve their performance, after the loss of enterprises amounted to € 500 million in the first six months of the financial year of the company. For the full 2011 fiscal year, the losses amounted to around € 1 billion, in part because of significant costs.

According to Mr. Gizinger, ThyssenKrupp plans to `hold #39;steel business, which is still profitable for the company, although its profitability and decreased relatively few indicators of past years. However, the company plans to use the proceeds from the sale of U.S.


plants, investments in other areas such as the construction of elevators, as well as the payment of debts.
