PAKISTAN: BENEFITS FOR TEXTILE INDUSTRY

To promote the textile industry the government was asked to provide in the new budget, more benefits, said Minister of Textile Industry of Pakistan Mustaq Ali Cheema (Mustaq Ali Cheema). He announced this at a meeting of the Federal Council on textile, saying that such a proposal was submitted to the Prime Minister for approval by the Cabinet. At the meeting attended by Federal Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Sued Masood Alam Rizvi (Syed Masood Alam Rizvi), as well as representatives of relevant ministries and industry leaders.


The proposed benefits include the removal of the sales tax for the textile sector in the delivery of products and services for industries, export-oriented, the reduction of fees to a minimum, zero tariffs on textile machinery and the abolition of customs duties on spare parts for textile machinery.
