After Khakassia largest increase in production in the region was recorded in the 1st quarter of Kamchatka (74.6%), in the Irkutsk region (56.1%).

Meanwhile, according to the results of March 2012 gold production decreased compared to the same month last year to 772 kg.

According to the forecast of the Union of Gold, in 2012, gold production in Russia will increase by 3.3% - up to 195 tonnes, with production of primary deposits may grow by 6.8% - up to 140 tons, reducing by 4.7% placer - up to 55 tons.

Production of associated gold polymetallic deposits is expected to reach 15 tons, the secondary - 8 tons. As a result, the total gold production in Russia by the end of this year may reach 218 tons compared to 211 tons last year.
