VALE has invested billions in Copper
VALE HAS INVESTED BILLIONS IN COPPER

License for the project Salobo received Brazilian mining and metals company Vale. He is the second copper project conducted Vale in Brazil, and has an annual production of 100 thousand tons of copper in concentrate.

The project envisages mining of copper ore open pit, its refining and transportation. Transportation of concentrate from the mine will be carried by rail to the sea terminal Ponta da Madeira.

Investments in Salobo estimated at $ 2.507 billion, while Vale will invest $ 1.707 billion in the project Salobo II, implementation of which will increase the production of copper in concentrate production to 200 thousand tons per year.
Provisions and reserves are Salobo 1,112,000,000 tonnes of ore with an average grade of 0.69% copper and 0.43 grams of gold per 1 ton
