Izhevsk Automobile Plant (IzhAvto) plans to release 80-90 thousand cars in the next year, the Minister of Industry and Energy of Udmurtia Oleg Radzivonau.

Radzivonau noted that the joint project with Renault-Nissan to produce cars in Izhevsk will be implemented in late 2013 - early 2014.

This year, the production line will go over 58 thousand vehicles, including 26.6 thousand new Lada Granta. Production of these cars started in Izhevsk in July.
Lada Granta is produced in Izhevsk on a full cycle - welding, painting, assembly. For 2014 is scheduled to begin production of Lada Granta car with a hatchback saloon, which will be hosted by the original manufacturer of stamped and molded plastic parts.
Project development Izhevsk plant also provides for the phased development of models of Renault and Nissan. In 2016 the volume of production is planned to increase to 150 thousand cars a year.
