Decision on the establishment of the Museum of Ukrainian embroidery named Hero of Ukraine, Honored Master of Folk Art of Ukraine Faith Roik was taken at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea May 18, 2011. Vera Roik (1911-2010) was born in Poltava region. In Crimea lived since 1952.
She was a well-known collector of folk embroidery and guardian, a member of various organizations, the embroiderer. By Vera Roik exhibited in 40 museums around the world.
