SCC TO MAKE NEW GENERATION NUCLEAR FUEL
`OAO Siberian Chemical Plant #39;(part of the Fuel Company of Rosatom` `fuel elements) and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Research Institute NGO` `Ray` (Podolsk, Moscow region.) Signed an agreement for the development and production of complex experimental setups, which by the end of 2012 should be produced fuel rods for the assembly of the first experimental fuel assembly (FA). Signatures on the contract for the preparation of which lasted five months, have put acting General Director Anatoly Kozyrev SCC and CEO of SRI NGO `Ray` Sergey Alexeev.
Dense fuel, the creation of which involved the Siberian Chemical Combine, is an innovative development of the State Corporation Rosatom `` and `TVEL Fuel Company`. It is designed for new generation reactors and allows reuse of nuclear fuel in nuclear reactors on fast neutrons, and significantly reduce the amount of radioactive waste.
The work to create fuel for a new generation of nuclear power plants except of `SCK #39;and` Federal State Unitary Enterprise Research Institute NGO `Ray` involving various research organizations and engineering companies of Rosatom.
