NEW ELECTRIC LAB in MES Siberia will test CABLE LINES
NEW has expanded the existing fleet of diagnostic laboratories. At present it includes 13 fixed electrical laboratory for testing of protection, 19 mobile laboratories for high voltage test equipment substations and 3 laboratories for the diagnosis of overhead power lines.
New electrolaboratory mounted on the base of modern van is equipped with a set of instruments and testing of power cables, their insulating properties and safety factors. Posted here diagnostic equipment will also accurately determine the fault of cable lines that will significantly speed up the troubleshooting process in the power supply equipment and increase the reliability of the transmission of electricity to consumers.
The need for such a laboratory is due to the acquisition of active application in the present cable lines with XLPE insulation for the modernization of existing and construction of new power MES Siberia. This type of cable lines more environmentally friendly, safe and reliable in operation, but as any power equipment requires diagnostic services for monitoring the technical condition and prognosis of repairs.
The first such laboratory will go to Krasnoyarsk enterprise MES Siberia. She will perform a diagnostic survey of XLPE cables in substations of 220 kV left bank and CRP, where complex reconstruction is completed, as well as a new 500 kV substation Yenisei, which is being built in Krasnoyarsk at the moment.
