BELGIUM MAKES NO NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS
The lower house of the Belgian parliament on Friday approved a draft law proposed by the government to phase out nuclear power. According to him, all seven Belgian nuclear power plants will be closed at the end of the 40-year period of service in the period from 2015 to 2025. After these new nuclear power stations in the country will not be built.
Belgium now meets more than 60% of its electricity needs through nuclear power plants. However, the government, which includes green, says that it#39;s not worth the risk that exists in their use and processing of radioactive waste.
