On the Kola Peninsula (Norilsk Nickel) begins the next stage of the processing plant modernization, which aims to increase the volume of ore processed. A decision on the purchase of seven hydrocyclone batteries. Each of them consists of 14-20 hydrocyclone. Replacement of obsolete equipment purchased in 2012, and its installation is planned for 2013-2014 ..

Hydrocyclone batteries are used for the classification of ball milling material and achieve the required performance characteristics for sieve for ore processing. At present, the processing plant operated by the Kola Peninsula 12 hydrocyclone batteries. They are obsolete and do not allow to reach higher particle-size characteristics of the products.

This is particularly evident in the deteriorating quality of mineral raw materials supplied for processing.

New hydro-cyclones can increase the efficiency of classification, without degrading the performance of ore processing. They are capable of removing more fines in the sink, which in turn has a positive effect on the parameters of the grinding and flotation processes. Investments Kola Divisions in this project will amount to about 56 million rubles.
