CREATED LIGHT INDUSTRY ALLIANCE OF SOUTH AFRICA

Representatives of the textile industry of African countries that are south of the Sahara, have formed the Alliance of Light Industry. The Alliance - stimulating intra-regional trade and the creation of a climate conducive to foreign investment, said yesterday Brian Brink (Brian Brink), responsible worker Textile Federation of South Africa (Texfed).

Top leaders agreed on the need to form an alliance at a meeting held last week to Johannesburg. The meeting was organized within the framework of the Regional Programme to support trade and agricultural initiatives, which will be the secretariat for the new project.

Leaders Texfed reports that for the first time the region has the opportunity to become one in the regional and international trade. Brink said that the unification of South African countries indirectly strengthen the position of South Africa in an international forum, according to the sources.
