FRENCH `AREVA` READY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF URANIUM ORE DEPOSITS
The French company Areva is ready to cooperate with Ukraine in the development of the Ukrainian deposits of uranium and zirconium ores, which will allow Ukraine to independently produce nuclear fuel.
This was reported by journalists, commenting on the results of his visit to France, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. We have signed a letter of intent with the company Areva , which will allow Ukraine to build a real energy independence, - said the head of government. In Ukraine there are large deposits of uranium and zirconium ores, but it does not develop their own.
The introduction of such a technology, according to the Prime Minister, will give the opportunity to get cheap nuclear fuel, which will greatly reduce the cost of Ukrainian electricity and allow Ukraine to make a real diversification of its own power supply.
