FOREIGN INVESTORS TO BUY DISCOUNTED Uzbek cotton
May 24-25 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) hosted the Third International Conference on Cotton, which was attended by over 200 participants from more than 30 countries. At the conference, Uzbek officials have said that foreign investors textile enterprises will be able to buy cotton at a discount and will be exempt from certain taxes for periods of three, five and seven years. Feature of the conference was a visit to its participants of the exhibition and sale of #39;Cotton and Silk World - 2005#39;, which opened at the same time in Tashkent.
The exhibition presented by ginning equipment, agricultural machinery and textile products in Central Asia, reports fibre2fashion.
