`` DTEK Trading contracted deliveries of coal for steel plants in Brazil, owned by the largest steel company in the region - Gerdau. Before the end of this year `` DTEK Trading will ship 50,000 tons of anthracite coal of the ports of the South American continent. At the moment, with Brazilian partners discussed the terms of cooperation in 2013.


DTEK previously supplied anthracite coal group for businesses in Brazil: Usiminas, Value, ArcelorMittal; new contract will expand the company#39;s presence in the South American country.

Also in August of this year `` DTEK Trading began actively to conquer the markets of Africa. The company provides delivery of low volatile coal grades to the cement plant, owned by Ethiopian Petroleum Enterprise (Federal Republic of Ethiopia). Further plans include an increase in deliveries and new contracts with customers African continent.

`DTEK is the first Ukrainian company which entered the coal markets in Africa and South America, where there is considerable demand for quality anthracite. Export potential of the African market is not less than 300 thousand tons of coal, the annual needs of South America to import anthracite coal grades exceed 1.2 million tons. We note the interest in cooperation on the part of the direct consumers of these continents and conduct intensive negotiations with all interested parties.


Further consolidation in the markets in Africa and South America will DTEK go global energy trading and take their rightful place among the world#39;s producers and suppliers of high quality anthracite. The long-term strategy for the development of DTEK includes expanding its presence in key global energy markets, contracts with Brazilian and Ethiopian partners confirm the systematic implementation of these plans#39; - the director of commercial operations DTEK Andrew Tabor.
