DIAMOND FIELDS INTERNATIONAL COMPANY START PRODUCTION OF DIAMONDS
Canadian diamond company Diamond Fields International (DFI) announced this week that the vessel DF Discoverer start diamond mining license for 111 marine diamond mining off the coast of Namibia.
The preparatory period that began immediately after sending the vessel from the city of Luderitz (Namibia), included the testing of equipment and systems, as well as training of crews of miners.
This is the first time that the DFI produces diamonds with the help of his own ship, and leaves before 100% of the extracted, according MINING WEEKLY. The last few months, the ship underwent extensive renovations in order to increase the reliability and efficiency of production.
