NEW RUST CONVERTER IS CAPABLE OF ELIMINATING ITS DEVELOPMENT PENETRATED EVEN THROUGH THE OIL LAYER ON THE METAL SURFACE

NEW rust converter is capable of eliminating its development, penetrating even through the oil layer on the metal surface.

In TyumenNIIgiprogaz developed rust modifier used to cover the rusted metal surfaces, easy to apply on the rusty surface with heavy oil and oil pollution, and able to protect the metal from hydrogen sulfide corrosion. This composition is particularly effective for undercoating tankers and other ships that have passed a considerable period of operation.

The drawbacks of existing rust converters is their inability to deal with the application of hydrogen sulfide corrosion and for application to rusty oiled and oiled surface. Therefore, such compounds are always in demand industry.

Researchers Dvortsovy VV Bykov, VF, MA Doroninoj and Galina Krylova of TyumenNIIgiprogaz managed to create a drug that solves the problem to address these shortcomings.

A distinctive feature of the formulation is that besides components form rust converter - phosphoric acid and graphite water, it additionally contains cadmium oxalate lignosulfonates under the following proportions of ingredients (wt.%): 43,0-51,0 phosphoric acid; graphite 27 ,0-34, 0; lignosulfonates 0.5-1.1, 0.4-1.0 cadmium oxalate, water v the rest.

A chemical composition of the drug can solve an important production problem - the fight against hydrogen sulfide corrosion and the ability to use on rusty metal surfaces with heavy oil and oil pollution.

?When applying the new rust converter on the surface, it is mixed with the fat contamination, forming part due to the homogeneous emulsifying oil in water emulsion |, - the researchers say. ? Oil, previously sorbed layer of rust, goes into the inverter, which converts the rust and component composition - phosphoric acid - free to interact with rust, transforming it into an inert product. |

When comparing the characteristics of the new and existing rust converters on samples coated with the rust converter known under tubercles black iron sulfide ulcers were found in the metal, and a sample coated with the new transmitter, rust was absent.

Proposed rust converter may be operated at temperatures ranging from -30 | C. to +500 | C at the application temperature of -30 | C. to +60 | C. And at the operating temperature +150-170 | With the proposed converter requires no overlap in paints, because under these conditions it undergoes irreversible chemical and structural changes that increase its durability.

This composition of rust can be used in oil, gas, shipbuilding industries, as well as in agriculture.
