FROM BURYATIA TO THE UK

From Buryatia to the UK

In June, JSC Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) will supply 65 million tons of coal from Buryatia in the UK. Buryatia will be the easternmost point of Russia, from where the coal will be exported to Europe. The contract for delivery of the first batch with the representatives of the cut Tugnuisky SUEK concluded in early April with the UK energy company, whose name is kept secret by the miners.


As the chief trader on the Baltic direction SUEK Yuri Filippov, delivery to the UK company was launched in 2003, but so far consumers was shipped coal from Kuzbass and Khakassia. Products Tugnuisky deposits are interested in the British quality characteristics.
