ELECTRONIC BOOK TXTR BEAGLE
The decisive move on the e-book market has taken a German company Txtr. At the book fair in Frankfurt, it has announced sales of the device Txtr Beagle, which can be purchased for 9.90 euros. Of course, such a low price implies some kind of trick.
Besides the fact that the device itself is very simplistic, it is assumed that it will be engaged in distribution network operators, partially subsidizing the cost.
The device does not support 3G and even Wi-Fi. There are only Bluetooth. It is assumed that in order to buy and download books Txtr Beagle will be used in conjunction with a smartphone on which the appropriate application (as long as there is a version for Android 4.0, the iOS version is in development).
For books given to 4 GB of flash memory, but at the same time the number of books downloaded to five times.
Screen size Txtr Beagle - five inches diagonally, resolution - 800 x 600 pixels. EReader is powered by two AA batteries size AAA, thus reducing the cost by eliminating the lithium-ion battery. According to the manufacturer, one set of batteries will last for year of operation. Dimensions of the device are 140 x 105 x 4,8 ~ 14 mm, weight with batteries - 128 g
Currently, the developer is in talks with mobile operators in the world. It is expected that sales of new items will begin before the end of the year.
