CHINA TAKES MEASURES TO REDUCE THE EXPORT OF TEXTILES

Voluntary adoption of measures to curb the growth of textile exports to the EU is a priority issue for the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao (Wen Jiabao), as this may lead to a tightening of sanctions on exports. After meeting with the EU Troika, Mr. Wen said: The Chinese government understands the concerns of the European Union issue of textile products. We will take further effective measures to strengthen control of textile enterprises and economic measures to curb the rapid growth of exports of certain textile products and clothing. Raising and lowering the export tax rebates - these are just some of the measures taken by China to reduce the rate of exports.

The Prime Minister noted that the measures were effective. He called for sincere efforts and strategic partnership with #39;both sides#39; to overcome these differences on textiles. EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson (Peter Mandelson) has said it hopes to get the necessary information concerning the export of textiles to June, to determine the need for a reduction.
