CHINA NOT SATISFIED WITH THESE TERMS OF U.S. AND EU

China today announced that the U.S. and the EU #39;broke#39; the WTO rules by imposing #39;unfair#39; restrictions on Chinese textile products. Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo xylan said some of the developed countries #39;failed#39; to fulfill norms of the World Trade Organization, which partly contributed to the rapid growth of the temporary export of Chinese textiles. In the WTO negotiations in Uruguay in 1995 an agreement was signed that for 10 years the developed countries will gradually ease its system of quotas on textiles and clothing. #39;But some countries have not done#39; - said Mr. Bo. He noted that some countries retain 70 to 90% of fixed quotas by the end of last year.


Their actions have led to a temporary rapid increase in exports of Chinese textiles in the first few months of this year, #39;said the minister. April 4th U.S. said that starting a 90-day investigation into the three categories of Chinese textile exports, namely cotton shirts and jackets, cotton trousers, and underwear made of cotton and synthetic fabrics. Two days later, the EU has also issued a substantive provisions of special safeguard measures against Chinese exports tektsilya, intending to restrict the sale of 12 categories of Chinese textile products to the EU market.
