Under the Alps TUNNEL TO BE BUILT
France and Italy signed an agreement on the establishment of a high-speed tunnel under the Alps, which will connect Lyon and Turin, the BBC reports.
Agreement to establish a 57-km tunnel was reached during a summit in Lyon.
The tunnel will release the alpine roads from trucks and give impetus to the development of construction, the advocates of the project.
From the point of view of critics, the project needs an investment of $ 35 billion is unlikely to be justified in the current crisis.
