RUSSIA HAS INCREASED PRODUCTION OF IRON ORE
The volume of iron ore in Russia in I quarter of 2005 increased by 1.3% compared with I quarter of 2004, in March 2005 was 8.3 million tonnes, an increase of 11.8% compared with February 2005 , and by 3.4% - compared with March 2004 In March, produced 6.2 million tonnes of coking coal and 19.4 million tons of thermal coal. The volume of coal concentrate in the I quarter of 2005 increased by 0.8% in comparison with the I quarter of 2004, production of iron ore pellets increased by 6.5%.
