NEW WLAN chipset AMD ALCHEMY AM1772

Am1772 chipset consists of two chips and is designed to create solutions Wireless (WLAN) network standard 802.11b. The chipset can be used in the laptops, PDAs, and other handheld devices. The chipset is made using CMOS technology, consists of a radio frequency transceiver AMD Alchemy Solutions Am 1770 and MAC / broadband processor AMD Alchemy Am1771.


Features: - Output Power: 17.5 dBm - Receiver sensitivity: -87 dBm (@ 11MBps) - Current consumption in transmit (Tx mode): 232 mA - Current consumption in receive mode (Rx mode): 134 mA - Power consumption current listening mode (Listen mode, 3.3V): 106 mA - Power consumption in standby mode (Sleep mode): 18 mA - Supported encryption protocols: 802.1x, WEP 40, 128-bit TKIP + WPA (with software empowerment) - Certification: Wi-Fi, WHQL - Deliveries of samples Am1772 chipset and RDK is scheduled for November, mass production will begin in the first quarter of 2003.
