UK City of Lincoln Council unanimously approved a project to build a new mosque, says World Bulletin.

Initially, residents of the area in which the allotted land for construction, complained, but eventually supported the two-storey building project proposed by the Islamic Association of Lincoln.

The total area of the mosque is about thousands of square meters.

The City Council announced that he had received five letters from citizens objected to the construction - basically, they referred to possible problems with parking and traffic jams. Another six letters of the population supported the project.

The Commission on Urban Planning Council recommended approval of the plan, provided that prior to the introduction into service next to the car park will be built on 68 cars and provided access to the mosque from the nearby street.
