KAZAKHSTAN FOR uranium production TAKES THIRD PLACE IN THE WORLD
Kazakhstan on the production of uranium took third place in the world after Canada and Australia. This was reported by the press service of the National Company Kazatomprom. In 2004, the share of Kazakhstan had 9.4 percent of the world#39;s uranium production. Last year Kazakhstan produced 3,719 tons of natural uranium, - explained in the company.
At present, the company sets the task to increase production of natural uranium in 2010 to 15 thousand tons per year. If implemented, these plans Kazakhstan will become the world leader in the production of this valuable raw material, - the press-service.
