About a year later in Yatkyasaari, a district of Helsinki, is expected to build a new neighborhood consisting of high-rise buildings made of wood. Quarter will meet all the requirements of international standards. New area will be called Wood City.

A large architectural firm under the name Anttinen Oiva Arkkitehdit Oy has created projects that have received the name of Stories. This project won a victory in an organized city government and companies Stora Enso and SRV special architectural competition.

The Jury believes that the project Stories is functional and safe, and besides, it is eco-friendly and expressive, from the architectural point of view. Until the end of 2015, the year the project plan, the territories of the quarter will be built a new house and a parking complex, which has already started production of stairs and other elements. By the end of 2016, the year will appear here as offices and hotel facilities.

The new block will have to be the biggest in Finland quarter, consisting of a multi-storey wooden houses, both in high-rise buildings, and on the total area of the building. It is noteworthy that with all this developer also plans to pay special attention to energy efficiency of new homes.
