Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich October 17 held a meeting on the development of the domestic textile and light industry. On the situation in the main sectors of the economy of the Ivanovo region at the meeting reported the head of the region, Mikhail Men.

The governor of the Ivanovo region in the report touched on the key issues of the textile industry, the issues of existing and additional measures of state industry, including within the framework of Russia#39;s accession to the WTO. Mikhail Men also drew attention to the problem of the investment potential of textile and light industry.

As part of the meeting, he presented a construction project in the Ivanovo region plant for the production of polyester fibers for the textile industry with a complete production cycle based on modern technologies. Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said that under orders of the President and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, will be held a separate working meeting with representatives of relevant agencies, dedicated to a specific project.

Recall, October 12 in Moscow signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of creation in the Ivanovo region of modern synthetic production between the management of the project company `Cluster textile corporation` and `Ivregionsintez German company` IPK Engineering Consulting GmbH #39;with the participation of the regional head of Michael I and Prime Minister Thuringia Christine Liberkneht.
